      • Pour 4 to 6 oz of hot - not boiling - water over the powder.

    I've always wanted one of these beautiful whisks and I finally got one! It works really well, I just hope it lasts long! It seems a bit delicate, but I think that's how they're meant to be.

    Still clumpy, am I using it wrong?

    I'm new to matcha-making so maybe I'm using it wrong but there are still clumps in my matcha. I think I should get a strainer to prevent this. Other than that, the whisk feels sturdy and looks good.

    Looks good, but will it last?

    Most bamboo whisks break apart after a few uses but matcha is just not the same without it. So, I'm hoping this one is better than the others I've had!

    Can’t I just use a regular spoon to stir matcha?

    You can, but this bamboo matcha whisk is specially designed to enhance your cup of matcha, bringing out vibrant flavors and creamy frothiness. However, using a standard metal spoon may change the taste of your matcha powder.

    Can I use the matcha whisk for anything else?

    Because the whisk prongs are delicate, it’s recommended to use the whisk only for matcha. 

    What’s the point of whisking matcha? I’m used to steeping my green tea.

    Good question! Unlike ordinary tea leaves, matcha is powdered green tea. If you don’t whisk your matcha, the powdered tea may become chalky. Yuck!

    Is there a reason for the pronged whisk design?

    It’s true - it certainly doesn’t look like a normal kitchen whisk! Ancient Japanese tea makers created the delicately-pronged matcha whisk to aerate the powder and create a frothy consistency. 

    Why is bamboo used to make the matcha whisk?
